IK BEGRIJP HET NIET
CHOREOGRAPHED BY IMOGEN REEVE
Inspired by Wittgenstein’s work with language, this piece aims to explore the ambiguity of words. We use lots of different methods to communicate—not only the content of what we say but also the tone we use when we talk; how our bodies are arranged when we speak and the language we choose—be that French, Dutch or English. Each performer in this work has a different idea about the story that is being told—this is because not every dancer speaks every language that is being spoken. This piece is a work in progress and is something I hope to continue to explore . With Special thanks to Marie for learning this piece in so little time.
